At GFC, our chief concern is for the safety, health, and well-being of the participants and staff of our programs. As such, we are monitoring the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), and our leaders are in close communication with leading public health officials and medical authorities, both locally and globally, in partnership with the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ).
Out of concern for the health and safety for our community, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Spring Camp at GFC.
We were all looking forward to spending a weekend full of friendships and fun and we share in your disappointment. We thank you for your understanding during this time of uncertainty. Going forward, we will continue to monitor the situation and will keep you updated on the status of upcoming GFC & NFTY-TOR events and programs.
There will be opportunities during the weekend of April 3-5, to come together virtually as a GFC community – even if we can’t be together in Bruceville.
- Join us with your campers and your Shabbat candles on Friday, April 3, at 6pm, as we light the Shabbat candles and say Kiddish together.
- Join us Saturday night, April 4, at 8pm, for a musical GFC Havdalah around the (virtual) campfire.
We will send more information about these virtual experiences in the week leading up to the event. We hope to see you online the weekend of April 3-5, and we look forward welcoming everyone back home to GFC in the near future. And remember, just like we tell you all summer, wear your hat, carry your water bottle, and wash your hands!
